Pan-Pacific’s General Foreman Jake Freeze is an employee who embodies the company mission statement in his day-to-day performance. Jake joined Pan-Pacific Mechanical 18 years ago and is a member of Local 582. He started with Pan on Hoag Hospital, and is currently running the Kaiser Downey project.
Jake says the key to living up to our Mission Statement is giving “100 percent every day to maintain Pan-Pacific’s great reputation.”
A large part of his work day includes “coordinating with the General Contractor and Owner, working hand-in-hand with Project Managers to maintain budget, and communicating with my field crew to ensure they have the tools, information, and materials needed to complete their work.”
General Superintendent George Clark says, "Jake’s ability to get his team’s buy-in to the PPM culture with leading by example has proven Jake is the right guy for any project. He takes a high level of pride in mentorship, which has contributed to an abundance of Jake’s fellow apprentices, journeyman & foreman now managing their own projects for PPM. You can always rest assured that Jake is making good decisions for pan-pacific, the General Contractor, the owner & his field team."
Jake sees our Mission Statement at work all around him every day, and believes it is the reason he has been with Pan for so many years.
“Most of my foremen and field crew have gone from job-to-job with me, which has ensured my longevity with Pan-Pacific and made it easy for me and my projects to be successful,” he says.
The project Jake is currently running, Kaiser Downey, includes a tower expansion and a CUP expansion. The six-story tower will add 92 beds and three new operating rooms to the existing hospital.
