Pan-Pacific General Foreman Rob Barrett is featured for his exemplary work ethic as an employee who represents our company Mission Statement.
Rob is a 20-year member of the Sheet Metal Workers’ Local 104, and joined Pan-Pacific five years ago with a connection through Superintendent Lake Culpepper. Rob has been instrumental in the success of our Northern California Sheet Metal Division. In his time at Pan, he has contributed to UC Berkley Moffitt Library, San Jose Regional Medical Center, Kaiser Skyport, Amazon Lab #26, Facebook MPK, and has recently completed the Gateway of the Pacific project.
Rob is able to apply much of his experience from the Marine Corps to his work in the field: “I take the no surrender approach when it comes to building projects,” Rob says. “Most important are my men. They mean the world to me, they are my brothers, and there is nothing that I would not do for them.”
When asked how Pan-Pacific’s Core Values of Family, Loyalty and Respect shape his daily work routine, Rob says, “For me it’s always family first. My dedicated crew members are my family. We spend off time together. I know my core guys’ wives, family and children. I have crew members who I have apprenticed for, as well as crew members who are children of my former foremen. The Family, Loyalty, and Respect statement is a living phrase for the members of my crew and myself.”
Rob’s career goals include running larger and more challenging projects for another 11 years or more and would love to retire at Pan-Pacific.
Rob was born in Daly City and currently lives with his wife and three-year-old Pitbull, Jackson, in Millbrae. He has three grown step-children, Fabiana (27), DJ (24) and Nick (21). In his free time he likes working out, rifle and pistol target shooting, gunsmithing, and hiking with his wife and dog. He is hard-charging and dedicated to his family, crew members, union and company. He is a patriotic veteran who is 100% grateful to be alive and in the position he holds at Pan-Pacific.
