    Amazon Lab 126

    San Jose, CA

PROJECT INFO

Amazon, one of Silicon Valley’s major tech companies, is expanding its research department to include a lab in North San Jose which will be the home of some of its most promising engineers and coders.

Amazon Lab126 will include office and R&D spaces, simulation spaces with acoustic, anechoic and environmental test chambers, and an “Alexa” residential simulation (a garage and home simulation space with active/live work environments) where Alexa’s responses to different surroundings and noise levels/accents will be tested and perfected.

Pan-Pacific was brought on by DPR Construction for Design-Assist with HVAC, Plumbing and Process Piping. The project will be an exciting challenge requiring 300 tons of 3-pipe VRF infrastructure, CDA & process exhaust, and a short six-month construction duration.
