Pan-Pacific Mechanical was awarded the Loma Linda Campus Transformation project in conjunction with joint venture partners Murray Company and Southland Industries. Totaling 940,000 square feet, the new state-of-the-art acute care medical facility will focus on children’s care.  The five-story diagnostic and treatment facility with an affixed five-story children’s tower and nine-story adult tower will include over 20 operating rooms and departments like intensive care, pediatric intensive care, emergency, as well as labor and delivery. Located in Southern California, the new building will meet all current and future seismic standards through 2030.

Loma Linda MOB is a 150,000 square foot, 3-Story medical office building constructed under the Design-Assist delivery method. This project consisted of (4) custom DX package cooling units, (2) high efficiency heating hot water boilers, VAV/Venturi Valves with specialty exhaust systems. This new MOB consists of primary / specialty care, urgent care, preventive medical services, orthopedics, behavioral health services, dental suites, classroom education, and cadaver studies. This project has earned LEED Gold Certification. Pan-Pacific performed mechanical HVAC on this project.

Pan-Pacific performed Fuel Oil work on the project installing two 40,000 gallon underground fuel tanks and a Pressure Line Leak Detection (PLLD) system to perform precision leak testing at full pressure. PPM designed a program for Kaiser to apply to their existing systems that utilizes code and helps detect catastrophic leaks. Should a leak be detected at a pre-set pressure threshold, the system would shutoff power to the Submersible Turbine Pump (STP) and notify the site operator minimizing environmental damage and preventing a public safety issue. Pan-Pacific’s system includes permitting with local agencies, OSHPD coordination, overall install wiring and interconnecting panels on specific sites. The fuel scope included monitoring, installation of multiple transition sumps, heavy controls, a Master Control Panel and fuel filters for each tank.
