PROJECT INFO
In May of 2010, construction began for Rancho Mirage High School. Students and staff held a district-wide vote to choose the new mascot, the Rattlers. The City of Rancho Mirage approved the name and announced the official title of the school’s main street, Rattler Road.
Pan-Pacific coordinated with all trades on this eight-building project to create a clash-free model for all buildings. The scope of work panned across an 80-acre site consisting of waste and vent, water, gas, condensate, and storm drains for all buildings. Science buildings were complete with lab waste and lab waste interceptors. This project also included a body shop with dual garages for hands on-training in auto-body and auto-repair, as well as a large 600-seat theater that will be used to hold concerts for the neighboring community.
At it’s opening in the Fall of 2013, the school will initially be open to grades 9 and 10 anticipating nearly 800 freshman and sophomores. Designed to become a fully comprehensive high school for grades 9-12, the school will offer unique courses including a full culinary arts kitchen, an auto and electric vehicle program and a media performing arts program.
