Spanning across 2.1 acres, the building site for the UCR Multidisciplinary Research Building 1 has propelled UCR’s mission of The Path to Preeminence. Consisting of 5 stories and 179,100 GSF, MRB1 will provide research space for 56 Principal Investigators and their staff. The building includes research laboratories for wet and dry research, laboratory support areas, core laboratory facilities for specialized research and shared equipment, research offices, seminar rooms, break-out space, as well as shell space for future growth.

This building is adaptable to allow for emerging research demands over the next several decades.
