PROJECT INFO

As with many operating medical facilities, bed space is a precious commodity. This facility being no exception, our team came up with the revolutionary concept of dividing the building in half and renovating one side from the bottom to the top, activating that side and then renovating the other side from the top to the bottom. Obviously this required a number of late night switch -over’s and shut downs to minimize interruptions but allowed the hospital to maintain services to some patients while achieving the much needed restoration.

One obstacle we had to overcome was the need to keep the Dialysis Unit in operation at all times. All restoration for this area had to be completed in one 12-hour period on one weekend. We overcame this challenge by coordinating all activities with other trades so that we could maximize our efficiency and minimize our impact on the overall project to complete the necessary restoration.
